What else should I know before using the coop door?
Before daily use, please check a few important things: keep the Power switch ON, use a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, keep the Wi-Fi signal at two bars or higher, and confirm the Time Zone setting in the JJ Chicken App before using Timer mode.
Because the coop door sleeps to save battery, remote commands and setting changes may take a few minutes to reach the device. For best reliability, keep the battery charged, keep the door track clear, and test open/close once after installation.
In addition, we highly recommend installing an independent camera near the coop door so you can double-check the real-world operation of the door at any time. The app can report the door status, but a camera gives you direct visual confirmation, especially at night, during bad weather, or when you are away from home.
Place the camera where it can clearly see the door opening, the door closing, and the area where chickens enter or leave the coop.
